Welcome to the Bellevue Kids Back to Nature Camp
Nestled in the heart of the Eastern Cape’s wilderness, Bellevue Forest Reserve invites young adventurers to experience five unforgettable days away from technology — immersed in nature, conservation, and the simple joys of outdoor living.
This summer, scholars will rediscover the art of living with less, connecting deeply with nature, and learning essential bushcraft skills guided by professional game rangers and trackers.

Tracking & Bush Skills
Learn to read animal tracks, identify calls, navigate with a compass, and cook over an open fire.

Explore the reserve’s incredible wildlife guided by Bellevue’s expert team.

End each day under the African sky — sharing stories, laughter, and new friendships.

Understand the importance of wildlife preservation and how you can make a difference.
Comfortable, Eco-Friendly Camp Life
Campers will stay in comfortable safari tents (4 per tent) with shared ablutions, similar to a classic tented camp. The camp is solar-powered, eco-friendly, and within cell range for safety. A camp cook provides three wholesome meals daily – hearty, fresh, and energizing.

Safety & Supervision
Bellevue Forest Reserve operates under strict safety and conservation protocols. Each group is accompanied by qualified game rangers and professional trackers at all times. Emergency procedures are in place, and staff are trained in first aid and wilderness safety.

Parent Information Pack
Arrival & Departure
- Drop-off: 12:00 PM on the first day of camp
- Pick-up: 10:00 AM on the final day
- Directions provided upon booking confirmation.
Communication
The camp is a tech-free zone, but urgent contact can be made through camp management. Parents receive daily photo updates via email or WhatsApp.
Health & Medical Info
Parents must complete a medical and consent form before arrival, including allergies and emergency contacts. A qualified first-aid officer will be on-site.
Code of Conduct
Respect for nature, peers, and leaders is at the heart of camp life. No cell phones, alcohol, or inappropriate behaviour allowed.
