Bellevue is an ideal getaway for honeymooners, families with young children, the young and the young-at-heart. Relish the luxury comfort of our Elephant Lodge or retreat to one of our canvas-wrapped Safari Tents for a more grounded, intimate experience in nature.

Elephants Lodge

On the ancient paths once trodden by elephants, the five-roomed thatched Lodge offers large, beautifully appointed rooms, with a maximum total of 12 people accommodated. Perfect for families, the focus is on comfort, convenience and pampering.
Each unit has a King size bed (or twin ¾ beds), en-suite shower and toilet with glass walls inviting the views and sunlight inside. Sliding doors lead off each room onto a wide patio and indigenous gardens, offering sweeping views over dense misty forests. Private seating throughout the garden areas encourages commune with nature in this awe-inspiring landscape.
Rooms are well-equipped with amenities such as personal safes, cooling fans, hair dryers and tea/ coffee stations.
Public areas include a well-stocked bar, indoor and outdoor lounges and dining areas and a wide sundowner deck overlooking the forest. Excellent high-speed Wi-Fi is freely available throughout the lodge. However, the absence of television encourages guests to connect and engage fully with their surroundings.
Rooms are available on either a Bed-and-Breakfast or fully catered basis. All-inclusive packages include two activities daily, or these can be added individually.
An alternate accommodation option at Elephants Lodge is our luxury en-suite tents, furnished in the finest glamping style and situated high on the mountainside with private decks overlooking the beautiful surroundings.

Bellevue Forest Safari Tent

Tucked into a pocket of spekboom thickets and soft Eastern Cape light, the Safari Tents at Bellevue feel like something time forgot — in the best way. No frills, no fanfare. Just the bush, and you, and whatever the day brings.
The tents are raised just off the forest floor, with wooden decks that catch the morning sun and hold onto it long after the trees have cooled. You wake up slow here. The light filters in early, filtered through canvas and birdsong. It’s warm, it’s quiet. You unzip the flap and step out — maybe with a coffee, maybe just to breathe.
Inside is simple, thoughtful comfort. A proper bed, crisp linen, warm wood underfoot. The kind of shower you won’t forget — half open, part rustic, all refreshing. Everything smells like fresh air and veld. You’ll catch yourself staring out of windows, not for anything in particular — just watching the wind move.
